The new TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh upper limit is 3.0 per AACE
My guess would be: the subclinical hypothyroidism (elevated TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh, T3 T4 in range).
If the test would show the TPO antibodies level, it will be easier to say if you have the autoimmune condition.
Hello, and thanks for answering. What is TPO? All the years I've had problems I'm not sure if I ever had that done before??? What do you mean autoimmune condidon?? I had a TT at he end of Feb. and was put on 100mcg of synthroid but they changed it to 125 on Saturday. I'm still not thinking that is going to be good enough?? What other tests do you suggest be done?
Hi,
Saw your post so thought I'd answer and maybe my answer is irrelevant since you had a total TT but the #1 cause of hypothyroidism is an autoimmune condition called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis (you've probably heard of this?). Its where your own body attacks the cells in the thyroid as if they were an invading virus. After time (can be years and years or months depending on the person) it eventually destroys your thyroid in its T4 production. Anyways, running an antibody test shows how much if any of these antibodies you have in your blood.

Once you are taking thyroid replacemant meds, your TSH should be kept between 1 and 2. That is the goal of the treatment and where mosr people feel their best.

Is an endo or PCP followong you for this?
What was the reason for the TT? How do you feel?
You need a med increase to bring down the TSH.
