Is HCG Diet safe for Patienst who have Hasimotos Disease

I have Hasimotos disease for the last 12 years, I have been at 75mgs. of Levortorxine and now at 100mgs. felt great for about 2 months, then started getting tired again.
My t- 2.5 , but still very difficult to lose weight.
I also take Vit D. 50,000 once a month, last time checked it was 30. I would love to take two is that adviseable? and also is the HCG diet safe for patients who have Hasimotos disease, I need to lose 40lbs and my cholestrol is at 260

"My t- 2.5 , but still very difficult to lose weight."   T what?  Is that TSH or T4?

Why not post all your thyroid labs, actual results and reference ranges, so we can better assess your situation.

You should talk to you doctor about increasing the vitamin D.  30 is very low and could cause symptoms.

There is a real good article here on MH written by Dr. James Beckerman, regarding the use of HCG for weight loss.  According to Dr Beckerman, there is no scientific data to support it's use. It's also necessary to follow a very limited, 500 calorie diet, which is the actual cause of the weight loss........ Safest way to lose weight is to make sure you are eating a healthy diet, with plenty of veggies and protein, watch portion sizes and get an adequate amount of exercise.
