Hi-
I had a total thyroidectomy in sep 06, almost 3 years ago. Nodules were benign. They later told me there were two small areas encpsulated within the thyroid with microscopic papillary carcinoma. an "insignificant finding" I " had my treatment". No need for folllow up.
On my own this past march I went to an endo who said why wereny these tests done?
Had an US of nodes- negative finding, a few small nodules which Im told is normal, if I am recalling correctly.
bloodwork was fine, thyroiglobulin was very low, I tink below 0.2.
So less than 3 months later I go for follow up blood work.
All other tests were ok, i will post the results.
Today I get the thyroiglubulin back, it's 20.
I am terrified.
The endochronologist is not available until next week. the ENT told me that there was a history of Hashi's in the biopsy ( 3 yrs ago) as well.
he said it could be related to number of things, not nesscessarily mets or ca.
The ETN ordered a radioactive iodine full body scan, of course friday at 5 I cant sched anything.
Does anyone have any good news, I will worry all weekend.
Thanks in advance
