Sorry for putting pituitary gland problems in slot above. But, didn't see anything related to hyperparathyroidism.
My question is that my latest PTH intact test came back @71. It was @76 when I left the hospital after surgery. My calcium is @11.1 and the nurse told me that my Vitamin D wasn't "too great either."
I had surgery on August 21, 2007. The endocrinologist's nurse yesterday told me to increase my Caltrate to 2 pills at breakfast and 2 pills at dinner. Recheck in 3 months. Needless to say, I am disappointed with the test results. I do feel better and I know that hyperparathyroidism recovery takes a long time. But, I don't like the idea of not being on my Varapamil while calcium once again is going through my body.
