Just wondering....I was diagnosed with having a hyperactive thyroid when I was 16 or 17 (was on meds) and when I was 19 and in college I got the radioactiveRadioactive iodine uptake iodine treatment. After that I had no other treatments and was still slightly hyperactive.
Just a month or so ago my doctor called me and said that now I am slightly hypothryroid. I'm wondering how I should deal with this transition....I do not notice any differences really. Could it have changed since I stopped taking birth controlControl Control rx? I have had issues with my weight and do not want to gain. I would like to actually tone up a littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys.
Is it possible that it can go back and forth? Will I ever be hyperactive again?
I do understand that hyperHyper-sal and hypo can go back and forth. By that I mean one can be hyperHyper-sal, then hypo or the other way.
IDK I am not convinced that birth controlControl Control rx pills or hormones have any affect,.I take YAZ myself, and in the past were on another type
Perhaps others with this experience could chime in here??
We ALL have weight issues here, due to the slowing down of the metabolism with a low thyroid. Despite what the women's magazines all report, about taking Synthroid or another hormone and suddenly having a perfect life, losing weight and moods being perfect, don't believe everything that you read. not to be pessimistic here, but take this one step at a time. You could become hyper active again, it is always a possibility
