Sweating and alway warm, why?

I had my thyroid out by radioactive pills about 10years ago and now I am starting to have sweating and feeling warm off and on a lot. I had a hysterctomy in 1989 and supposedly went through menopause then. I am 56 and basically pretty healthy except I am on one blood pressure pill and synroid. What could be causing these sweats and feeling so warm quite often?

I'm 30 and get night sweats and have since I had my first endometriosis surgery when I was 16.  Its horrible.  I really think it has more to do with the surgeries for me, they swear my female hormones are still working, but I am not convinced.  My mom wanted me to start that OTC pill to combat the symptoms, but I wouldn't.  I have enough problems.  The thyroid situation came up this year and I still don't know what that's about.

I am 59 and pretty good health also; had hysterectomy in 1996 and should also be through menopause; however, I have had "sweats" for years - mostly at night - wake up drenched, throw off covers (sometimes have to change clothes and bedding), then when the air hits me I get a chill, so have to pull covers back on - it's a vicious cycle all night. I have to get up at 3:30 every morning in order to get to work, so I go to bed around 7:30 pm, but am lucky to get 4-5 hrs sleep total.  I'm also on blood pressure med (1/2 pill daily) and synthroid (88 mcg daily) since July '08, along with 1000 mcg vitamin B12 shot every 2 weeks. The sweats did ease up a bit when I first started taking the B12 shots in Aug '07, but that didn't last long.  My dr has offered no help at all and basically told me I'd have to "live with it".  If you come up with anything that might cause/ease the sweats, let me know - I could really use a full night's sleep.  Thanks
