Endocrinologist Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a good endo in the Annopolis / Baltimore MD area.  I am not happy with my current doctor and cannot find another in this area.

Do the endos at Annapolis Endocrinology prescribe T3 or Armour or any alternative therapies or just the synthetic meds. I am looking for a new way of treating my thyroid and I have an appointment with them in October. I am wondering if I should just cancel and find someone new.
Thanks

i have the same issues.  i really gave the secretary a piece of my mind regarding their inefficiency and lack of response for rx refill.  i got a written apology from the doctor.  i wish they would improve their office policies.  they need to get their act together.  none of the offices communicate with each other.  the annapolis office seems the worst, and since that's the main office, it screws up all the other offices.

i was hesitant to say who i went to because i know their office procedures aren't efficient.  i like my doctor.  i think she's receptive and thorough.  it's all the other stuff that's frustrating.

I also go to Annapolis Endocrinology.  They are just too difficult to get an appoitment with if you have a problem.  When I was having a problem they said it would be a six week wait.  I also called for an entire day and each time got voice mail.  The voice mail said don't leave a message because we do not check it.  I finally go through the next day.  I think their office procedures are horrible.  My family doctor told me she is a patient there and has the same problem.  When I was really sick and could not get an appointment, it was so upsetting.  I am hoping to find a doctor's office that is more responsive.

I currently go to Annapolis Endocrinology.  They are fine, just overly busy and the staff make it very difficult to get an appt.  I had an infection of the thyroid and was very ill and they said it would be a six week wait for appt even though I am already a patient.  I ended up going to regular family doctor.  My thyroid was huge and hurt terribly and I felt like I was being strangled.  They gave me antibiotics and I did get better in a week.  They did thryroid blood work and told me to stop taking thyroid meds as my levels were normal (2.9 TSH).  Just 4 weeks prior I had routine blood work done and it was 4.9, so clearly I should not stop taking the meds, which I didn't.  I am just frustrated.
I want to find a doctor that cares and will actually give you an appt if you have a problem.

I live in Baltimore and have bouncing around from endo to endo for quite some time for the diagnosis/treatment of complex problems. I met two weeks ago for the first time with Bruce Sindler in Pikesville. I went to him because he prescribes Armour.

So I've only seen him once, but he did seem experienced and knowledgeable. I have adrenal insufficiency, hypothyroidism, pancreatitis, allergies, and possible hypoparathyroidism, atrophic gastritis/pernicious anemia. His words were, "We'll just have to be diligent about staying on top of all of this". I felt reassured by that, because until now I've had to coordinate all of my care.

That said, I also have an appointment with Dr. Arsalan Sheikh at MD General later this month. He is an Osteopath, and I've been searching for one for quite some time. The fact that he's also an endocrinologist seemed promising...apparently he specializes in adrenal, thyroid, lipid disorders. I'd be happy to post more after meeting with him.

I'd also be interested to know who you were seeing before, or just why you're switching, if you don't mind sharing...
