Thyroid Colloid Nodule

My wife 36years neck ultrasound shows that the left lobe of the thyroid gland is bulky in size with a solid cystic hyperechoic nodule measuring 3.0 x 2.3 x 2.7 cm (Vol 10cc). mild peripheral vascularity.

We did NFAC and the impression is : that features are suggestive of colloid nodule with cystic changes (category 2, Bethesda System of reporting thyroid cytopathology)

We did TFT and the readings are normal i.e
TSH 1.38
T3 1.07
T4 8.06

Is there anything to worry about with the report? Any advice?

I'm sorry your question hasn't been answered yet.  Category II nodule is considered benign, so the nodule is nothing to worry about.

As for the T3 and T4 - are they Free or Total?  They aren't the same tests and don't provide the same information.  Also, what are the reference ranges for each.  Ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report.

Has your wife been diagnosed with a thyroid condition?  If so, which one and what, if any, medication does she take?
