Thyroid Ultrasound Results (Meaning of all this)

I am a 45 year old female with thyroid nodules.  I currently had a ultrasound of my thyroid and here are the findings:
FINDINGS:  The right lobe of the thyroid is enlarged measuring 6.1x2.1x1.9cm.  It harbors two nodules.  One extends from the lower to the midpole and measures 2.4x1.4x1.5cm.  A second one at midpole measures 0.8x0.5x0.9cm.  Both are relatively well-defined and boh are very vascular.  The left lobe of the thyroid is normal in size measuring 3.2x1.1x1.8cm.  It is of normal echotexture.  The isthmjs measures 0.3cm.
IMPRESSION:  Right side hypervascular nodules, as described.
I have had blood work and my T4 level was 0.4 and my TSH was 0.56.  It was mentioned that I have something called Hashimoto Thyroidism.
I see an Endo on 20 May 2009 but I would like to know what all this means for me and I also heard that hypervascular means it could be cancerous??

The hypervascular nodule has about 20 % chance of being malignant; however about 50 % of benign nodules of larger size also have internal vascularity, therefore the vascularity alone is not very valid criteria for cancer diagnosis. Due to the size of nodules ultrasond guided FNA should be the next step, however due to the vascularity of the nodule the experienced person must do it to avoid inadequate specimen as a result of bumping into the intranodular blood vessel. [the sample should contain tissue cells rather then the loose cells floating in the blood for best diagnostic result!]
Hashimoto's thyroiditis the correct name for the condition you are diagnosed with.
