thanks for asking...since I quit rubbing Mederma all over the thing it has been just fine! LOL not to bright  at times I guess...kind of scary a nurse couldnt figure that out for herself hahahaha!!!! My TSH has shot up to 42 and I am very hypo right now and crabby and my feet hurt real bad but my endo got right on it and up my dose to 100mg. so I hope it will stabilize soon. I am scheduled to go back to work on the 15th of march so I really need to get this under control. How is your abcess??? still draining or is it clearing up? Usually after it drains it seems to heal pretty fast. Bummer that it happened. Have you decided to have the second half removed? I hope it works out well for you...its kind of a tough call.

Don't feel bad about the Mederma cream bcz I used it, too, about 3 weeks post op and it stung me so I stopped it!

The 1 abscess has drained and is healing up but is rather ugly in that it is kind of dark brown and thick but under that one and in 3-4 other spots are other abscesses under the skin that haven't formed into actual abscesses with redness and pointed heads ready to burst.  They are more like lumps under the scar and another dark brown area with a lump under it, too.  These lumps were very red and tender but since the 1st abscess drained thank goodness they have gotten back to a normal color and don't hurt but that doesn't seem to have an impact on the Dr's at all bcz they are there.  Nice, huh?

No decision @ all ... I am awaiting to hear back from my Prim Care Dr. who is talking to my other Dr's and reading articles and research and will LMK his opinion in a few days.
