graves disease

I was diagnosed with graves disease in dec. 06.by the time they diagnosed me i was very ill.  My thyroid levels was 13.2 does this mean I'm extremly hyperthyroid?  also can your tongue become sore with graves?

You've attached to a very old thread and neither of the previous posters are active on the forum any longer. Your situation might get better attention if you post a new thread of your own, listing your symptoms, as well as any recent labs you had done.  Be sure to include reference ranges with any labs as ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report.

I was just diagnosed with graves and my tongue has been sore. Sometimes it feels like I burned it with food and sometimes it just really hurts. Very wierd! Also my thighs and calves feel sore a lot of the time.

If you are referring to TSH of 13.2, does not indicated hyper Graves' unless you were treated, and if not, your are hypothyroid.  13.2 is not extremely hypothyroid compared to 300 and 400.

I have never read or heard from others ever stating having sore tongue nor read it in any symptoms list, hypo or hyper.
