Very Abnormal TSH 3rd GEN Result

Today I got a call from my Endocronologist saying I needed to come right in due to a "very Abnormal" TSH 3rd Gen thyroid test of 41.10.  I had one taken 3 months ago and it was only 7.8.  I currently am taking Levothyroxine at .175.  He raised it to .200 today.  My other test values were as follows Free T4 .83 and T3 Free was 2.16 both within normal.  I have skin that is warm to touch at night.  Multinodular goiters found on scan, but too small to biopsy.  My neck and chest have red flushing throughout day.  And of course I am tired.  Has anyone had a TSH 3rd GEN result around this 41.10?  I would welcome to hear about the course of treatment you experienced?

Your both on quite high doses of levo, especially terri.  There's a very good chance that the answer lies in your FT3 levels.  If you don't convert well, high doses of levo will not help you feel better because you will still remain hypo at the cellular level.

Please post test results and ranges, and we can try to offer some suggestions.

My TSH, upon diagnosis was 55+ and we often see it much higher than that.

Could you post the reference ranges for the FT3 and FT4?  Ranges vary lab to lab, so must come from your own report.  Your levels look to be on the low side.  Looks like you might benefit from different medication.
