What time do I take dose when traveling?

I remember when taking the BCP I traveled where I was 7 hours ahead the US. I tried to remember the time here and take my pill according to that, but  I got so confused that my own body told me I had screwed up. When I came back it was too late to fix it.

I take my NT at the exactly same time every day. My doctor decreased my dose (this is never ending) and I am just adjusting to this new dose.

I am traveling hours ahead the US again and I have been thinking about what is the best to continue taking my dose at the same time. If not, I will probably either doble my dose or skip a day. It is so confusing. I tried to keep my watch at US time, but then I did not remember if it was AM or PM.

Does it really matter to keep having my dose at the same time every day?

Any ideas? experiences?

Thanks!

I am pretty sure it is not life threatening, I just was wondering if the change in skipping a day  would  mess up my system.

So when I got there the next morning I shoud not take anything (it is going to be night here), until the next morning (with the new hours) and then when I come back, I skip the morning  and take it the next morning as usual.

I am hoping I do not feel the change (you know, more hair loss, dry skin and acne when my hormones are moving.)

Try to take it in the morning as you normally do, even if you have to miss one tablet to start with, you can double up the next dose (as a one off!)
When I travel internationally, I take 2 of the tablets at my normal morning time the day I leave, then when I get to say USA I take it in the normal morning there.  (travel time is around 27 hours so it is like a normal day.) Not my morning time back home.  Then it is a normal routine till I leave, then I do the same thing, 2 on the day I leave, then when I get home, back to normal morning....(even though my body will feel it is like 2am, instead of 14 hours ahead! )
Confusing? Not really. Just don't force yourself to take it as 'normal' home time. It could be 3am in the new country and you won't want to wake up at that time to be as if you are at your home country at 8am!

Basically don't fret to be taking it at your home time, it's just too stressful! One or two missed pills is not going to be life threatening. Just pretend you ARE home and when you wake up in the morning in USA, take it like you do at home!
