Why am I experiencing creaking bones?

Ever since I have had my op I have experienced alot of creaking bones. Is it because of the high dosage I am taking.(150mg)  Will it get better before it gets it worse?

This is interesting because I was diagnosed only very recently with autoimmune thyroiditis (hypo) and my joints, especially knees, have been snapping and cracking with nearly every movement for years now. I have Carpal tunnel and a bone spur on my thumb joint too. Thye have made me a bit hyper for now, my med dose was too high and now I am alternating from the original dose, and one step lower, every other day..

Maybe yours could be a reaction to the med,  but obviously mine hasn't been due entirely to medication as I have only been on the med for 6-7 weeks or so and my knees have been doing this for over a decade, maybe even earlier I remember them creaking when in my teens sometimes.

It's something to speak to your doc about if you are worried. I think there are suplements that are good for joint and bone health. I found this little blurb

I don't know why you're having that, but I have been having it too and I never went hyper or hypo... I wonder if it's a se from the meds?  It's weird... my joints pop more now, and are a bit sore sometimes (especially my hands but occasionally my wrists and hips).  And my knees creak a lot.  This is all new, but I never associated it with TT.  Now I'm wondering... hmmm...

. My op was 7 weeks ago and I am doing ok I guess. I sure don't feel the same as before the op. Everything seems to be an effort and now I have creaking joints etc..

Hi Justin .. I don't know .. maybe you were quite hypo and the meds haven't really gotten to work yet to get more hyper?  That is my only thought but don't really know.

How are you doing otherwise?  When was your surgery? I've forgotten offhand.
