Sorry ,should have put this in last comment Yes, I was experiencing hyper symptoms with high FT3 but did not realise. I thought once your thyroid medication was prescribed that was it. Did not expect to dose altered.

Have only been taking lower dose of thryoxine for 7 days, probably too soon to say how it's working. Actually feeling better today- I'm a natural worrier! Part of the problem is doc. doesn't really explain. Have made appointment wifh practice nurse, but it's not until 28th Oct. Blood tests to be repeated in about8 weeks. meantime thanks for your interest!!

Yes, "serum free triiodithyronine" is FT3.  Do you have the range for that?

Your TSH is a little on the high side.  Do you have hypo symptoms...cold intolerance, fatigue, weight gain, hair loss, etc.?

Perhaps your doctor just reduced your meds too much.  Very small changes in meds can have big effects on how you feel.  What was your FT3 before the reduction?   With high FT3, were you experiencing hypeER symptoms?  Maybe you really need to take somewhere between 25 and 50 mcg (37.5, 44?).

I think I meant serum free triiodotthyronine level=9.Is this the same as T3?
On levothyroxine, reduced to 25mcg from 50 because of raised triiodotthyronine.
Diagnosed hypothyroid 3 years ago.

What's the reference range on your T3?  Ranges vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report.  Also, does it say "free T3" or "FT3", or does it say "total T3" or just "T3"?  Did they also test FT4?

Have you been diagnosed with a thyroid disease?  Are you on thyroid meds?  How do you feel?
