Hey! I'm in the US. My endo said its not conclusive, and when I insisted they said they could do nothing else for me. ):  My family doctor told me to TALK TO MY ENDO...which i told him what they said.....in response he said nothing. He said that normally when T3 is off so is TSH, and my TSH was in range. SOOOO...........I don't know what to do. ): The other thing, is my thyroid is VERY swollen....and I feel like i'm choking half the time..is it supposed to be that bad?? I've read things about thyroid storms...it there any preventionf or things like that? NO THANKS (:

Another option might be to have a Free T3 done at an independant Lab, and then you will have ammunition to throw at the half witted MD's that refuse you the option of doing this test. Have you asked them why they refuse you the Free T3 portion? Are you in the US or Canada?  I might see a motive if it is socialized medicine (Because they don't want to pay for the extra portion of the T# test) But if you are in the US and pay your costs I cannot see any motive for the refusal. Where are you located?  Thanks FTB4

It could be an allergy..I have thought of that. I was diagnosed with hashi's.....I cannot get ANYONE to give  me Free T3 and Free T4 testing.....T4 and TSH is IT! I have a feeling I have a T3 issue and noone and i do mean NOONE will test me. Argh! I think I might do better on Armour...but noone wants to put me on that either...and anyone who I've heard of in my area that does offer it...I'm not sure if they regulate it correctly....Its discouraging. Many pple have sent me to search websites for doctors..but its just bad location..I might have to get a doctor in a larger city. I'm very frustrated. As in my lab results..I don't have them right now, but I'll get them. Thanks! (:

It could be allergy related also, I have Hashi's and do not have that particular symptom, but it is one of the symptoms of Hashimoto's, have you been tested for thyroid? if you were diagnosed with Hash's, it might indicate a need for a med adjustment. If you have Hashi's and have your latest labs, post them with the reference ranges provided for each Free T3 Free T4 and TSH. Best Regards FTB4
