Thyroid Nodule and no TSH

I have had a solitry Solid Cold Thyroid Nodule Measuring 4cms for 1 year now. 2 incoclusive bisopys though some Hurtle cells were found.. I was due to have a Subtotal Thyroidectomy on Thursday but due to another ilness i had to cancel... I had a baby 9 weeks ago and during pregnancy My TSH started supressing

I was told by my consultant that this was normal during pregnancy and nothing to worry about

With this new ear and balance disorder i been going through routine bloods were checked... and My piturity gland has stopped working i am producing no TSH.. All my Frees and Totals are normal

Does anyone know why this would be? should i arrange to go back and see the endogrinologist before i rechedule my surgery?

Thanks for reading Zoe

Hi... About 4 months into the pregnancy my TSH started to come down it was normal before pregnancy.. And i am now 9 weeks postnatal and its undetectable...

A Thyroid doctor came to see me in the Neurology department and she said my Pituitary Gland has gave up. She has ordered more bloods i will get results when i go back to Neuros on 15th july... I did suffer from Severe Palpitations during pregnancy tho they have gone now. I wouldnt say I have Hyperthyroidism.. I have lost over 3 stone in 9 weeks but i was So big and Had Polyhydramnios.... Oh something i havent asked Would my Babys Thyroid be affected if My TSH is low during pregnancy? tho all my children will prob have a higher risk as there father is Hypothyroid Thyroid Disease runs in his family....

Just wasnt sure if Maybe the Nodule has become Toxic over the last 9 months as before pregancy it wasnt...

Thanks again of i have missed anything or things dont make sense please say..

It could be hyperthyroid or central hypothyroidism... either way, your endo sounds like he/she is not on the ball...

You had a pregnancy and your pituitary stopped working? That is not a good thing - is that just the TSH or other hormones as well? I am panhypopituitary, and it is pretty difficult to balance a lot of hormones. Do you have Sheehan's syndrome, or is it unrelated to your pregnancy?

I would find a neuro-endocrinologist and get your hormones back on track.

Actually 0 TSH with  normal T4 andT3 levels are indication of subclinical HYPERthyroidism, not the failure of Pituitary gland.
