does anyone else get ichey leaky breasts on thyroid meds?

hi im wondering if anyone else has had this,i have secondary hypothyroidium due to pituitary gland not working,ive been on meds for 2 yrs {had symtoms for over 5 yrs}last year my breast started leaking clear fluid & hurt they were itchey ,& sore with flackey skin,have been tp gp & they think its due to meds,have spoken to my encro consultant & he doesnt seem that worried,as no meds have been changed im just not sure why this would happen have been fobbed off before when i felt really ill & noone belived me even though my mouth was covered in ulcers{coulnt eat for 3 days},& was putting on 5lb in a week,was crying all the time,& felt like i never wanted to get up it was only when i had a lump on my neck the gp sent me for tests was told by encro that i was ok nothing wrong with me then my hands started to swell up & 1 yr later saw another encro who told me i had a pit problem & why wernt i on meds,i said i was told nothing was wrong he said he was working from my notes that the first encro had made,felt so angry had brain scan & lucky it wasnt cancer because if it was i prob wouldnt be here now ,i changed gp as well,can anyone help do you think its worth pushing gp for a refural?

What type of pituitary problem do you have? do you have a tumor on the pituitary that is causing it to malfunction. this tumor can also cause prolactin issues (cause of breast milk leakage) I think that can be easily fixed with meds to make the tumor smaller which will make your pit gland work better. the other thing i was going to ask is if you might have been diagnosed with Cushings Syndrome - that causes rapid weight gain, lump on back of neck etc etc.

Do you have the results of your latest FT3, FT4 and TSH tests (and their reference ranges)?  If so, please post.  If not, please call your doctoar and ask for these (don't forget the ranges).

Could be a symptom of hypo...but, have you considered the possibility that if you have a known pituitary issue, this might also be affecting your reproductive hormones?  The endocrine system is all related...when one thing is off, others often are, too.

When were your last labs taken and what were the results?? If you ever feel that any doc's (specialist or not) are not basically catering to your needs,then a new one is in order.

If you checked the symptoms of hypothyroidism, leaking breasts can be a symptom, however stay persistent. The lump on your neck is more than likely a goiter that needs to be looked at.

I have no advice for your particular situation. Just wanted to tell you I am sorry. I know how difficult it is to find a dr to help with these items.

I would recommend you start doing your own research as that is what most of us have to do.
