enlarged pituritary gland

im so worry, i went to a specialist cuz i thought i had ear infex, i had a ct done , and of course it turn out that i had a enlarge pituritary gland, i do have headaches not to severe, but thats about it....i read online about the symtoms, n the only thing i have is the headaches but every other day....i have no dizziness no blurr vision, or no seizures or black outs....im going to have a mri done...But i need to know how seriouse is this, cuz i dnt have to many sysmtom thank God.....but still how much should i worry.....please anybody help me and tell me what to expect or how much should i worry...Ive been crying just about every day....And yes im a grown women 40 years old....but it worries me so much.....

My girlfriend just had an MRI for the same thing, she is now on meds to shrink the enlarged gland, she is fine, im sure you will be too, dont stress, she is 47 :) Dawn..

Please calm down.  The MRi is going to tell a lot more than the CT scan.  You do need a lot more info before you start getting worried.

Many people have some enlargement of the pituitary without anything to be concerned about. Sometimes it is just an incidental finding (and there are no symptoms or problems associated).

Even if there were something there, often it can be treated just with medication / or even with just monitoring if it is stable.  Most likely it is not serious.
