hand pain

Three weeks ago I awoke thinking that I had sprained my thumb.  two days later my other thumb started (the dominant one), now most nights all hand joints, wrist and elbows hurt -especially if bent at any angle.  I have suffered from migraines for years (once every 3 months of so), am currently taking meds for depression and am breastfeeding a 18 m.o.  Now pain is in all my joints - hips, ankles, even toes.  I am in good health, i exercise, eat well, work hard (full-time social worker) but lately i am tired and not thinking too clearly.  Any ideas?  I am not prone hypochondria, but now am wondering about pituitary gland - BTW, my uncle has a benign tumor on his PG...

sounds like underactive Thyroid to me.

Hello.  I am a jointpain sufferer too.  Bizarrely, I've tested negative for arthritis.  I have random pain in all my joints (including my jaw) but no-one seems to know why.  I've just had my thyroid removed (it was hyper) and I asked the endo if my sore joints and my joints were related.  He didn't think they could be.  Are you joints better when you're in a different climate?  I live in Bermuda which is very wet; when I go to the States or back to England, my joints don't hurt.  Keep me posted if you get any feedback.
