hmmmmmm .. can you find a top-notch specialist assoc with a key city or medical center? I'd get a 2nd opinion to see if everything has been done to promote them working again? I don't have knowledge in this area so this is really just a gut feeling suggestion and maybe not worth merit???

I agree chit. I am calling my medical guy and asking him to do a PTH level. I need to see it in black and white before I give up on the parathyroids. Especially since the surgeon tells me that two of the four, he didn't even have to move.
When I had calcium issues and discussed it with my doc he said the 3 month mark in most cases is an indicator it won't come back. HOWEVER- he has had some cases whereas it has came back- said a recent one was at about 14 months. So don't give up hope yet :-)

Thanks for the optimism. I just spoke at length with the surgeon and he said just that. Even at 6 months it really doesn't mean they are not coming back. Now if we get to a year then it most likely means that they are gone.
This whole process is a patience tester.
