How helpful are these tests?

Hello everyone.  I was just looking over my prepared information for my upcoming initial appointment with my new PCP in internal medicine.  A few weeks ago I had written down a bunch of tests I came across while learning more about the thyroid on here and google.  They mainly come from stopthethyroidmadness.com and I recall posting them on here and getting agreement from people.  So, I'm wondering, how helpful are these tests and for what reason should I say I want them?  Are they commonly associated with thyroid problems?

Ferritin and Cortisol
B-12, Folate, estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, Vit D.

(I'm also going to ask for complete blood count and celiac/gluten.)

Thank you.

All of those tests are important, since they affect your entire body.  Since many people who have thyroid issues, also have vitamin/mineral deficiencies, I guess I can't see a reason not to have them done.  If your levels are good, at least you'll know that deficiencies aren't causing symptoms.

I take calcium, vitamin D, magnesium, selenium, zinc, B12 shots every 2 weeks, B6.  I was found deficient in all of them, except calcium (I take that because I have osteopenia) and missing any one of them for more than a day or so really throws me off kilter.

personally, I can only imagine it would be helpful if something turned up to be off kilter.

Well, I'm really double questioning if to even bother asking my new PCP this week to do these tests.  Some more input would REALLY BE APPRECIATED.

God bless you.

Dont forget the Calcium and Zinc.
usually thyroid issues cause low calcium and low Vit. D
I spend every weekend in the garden and still had low vit. D and low Calcium after RAI (although I was hyper and Graves at the time).
I had all my B's checked...especially B6 and B12.

My Doc ran all these tests and I was found to be low in Vit. D, B12 and Calcium.
My cortisol was fine and I'm scheduled for another lot to be done now as its been close to 18 months since they were last done.

I do take a Calcium/Vit. D combined and took a break from it for 3 months and found I really needed it again so went back on it.
I take a Mega B Plus vitamin and a Cranberry as i suffered with a lot of UTI's before RAI.
I have not had one UTI since taking the cranberry capsule every day....its an anti-oxident and cleans the bladder and kidney out.
