low tsh-other thyroid tests normal

does anyone know what can cause a low tsh. my tsh was tested in march and was.05. it was retested a couple of weeks ago and was.02 so my doctor ran a full panel of bloodwork for the thyroid. I talked to the nurse yesterday and she said everything came back normal and he wants to retest only my tsh in one month. the reason i went to my doctor in the first place was because i was having symptoms of hyperthyroidism. now i am really confused. i am not on any medicine. thanks for your help!

OK, let me stand corrected on the 0.02 being better than 0.05.

The scale going up and down is confusing. Let me blame it on my mental impairedness in relationship to my hypothyroidism, and my LACK OF SLEEP!! ha ha ha

Doesn't that just irritate the pants off you, when doctors do that?! They have their nurse just call up and say something, makes no sense, except maybe cause a little fear and anxiety. No clear explaination, just leave you hanging, wondering what exactly does that mean?!

If there were some way we could have a hold payment from the insurance company, until they treated us like we were human beings with feelings and emotions, instead of a machine.

Now that I've gotten that off my chest......

The 0.02 is a bit better than the 0.05. Still, I do not understand why he is not treating you with medication for hyperthyroidism. Maybe you could call his office MOnday, ask to speak to him, when/if he calls ask him the reasoning behind withholding treatment?

If the symptoms warrant, tell him you do not physically feel like holding off on starting tx. You need it now...Or you could go to another dr,

WHEW!! I'll bet you would never guess I have had it with doctors would you?
