I guess l am posting this because of our health care here. I feel so lucky living here with all my check-ups and surgerys l have never had to pay a dime except for ambulance ($45) l also have a nodule on my thyroid only 1.7 cm we are keeping on eye on it though just had FNA and had 2 thyroid scans done l see my Endo in October to see whats happening. Keep on going !!!!

Yes we are lucky here in canada ,but in my community ( maybe the country ?) some people  have a very tough time finding gps that are taking new patients-alot of people end up going to walk-in clinics , while the drs are great the consistency in care / info may not be the most accurate. I'm lucky my husbands job has an extended med plan . Still feel like my dr treated me like i was wacko !!

Yes we get to pick our own G.P. and if we need a specialist he will send me to him because we need a referral. If we don't like any of our Dr's we simply search and find someone new!!

Must be nice.  Right now I am paying about $300/month in dr and dentist bills, will be a while before I can pay them off at this rate, especially when I have to keep going back for more.  Am paying at least $200/month in meds besides, I also have prescription insurance.  What a difference it makes, huh?

Have never known, do you still get to pick your own dr and such when they pay for it or do you have to go wherever they send you?

Yes great country!! My Endo said it was fine, but l don't get why l had to have another Thyroid scan after that, he said to make sure my nodule was not cold. Won't here from him till the middle of the month there on holidays, l had the scan done last Thursday, so l guess if it was bad news l would of heard from him before he left. This all new to me and l'm not to happy about it all!!

what were the results of your FNA? I dont entirly trust FNA cause Mine showed nothing then the cancer was found at the surgery.I am gald that you have a good healthcare system.
WE need something here in the states but I am just not not sure what the solution would be.
