tsh

Went to the Dr today, I have been so tired all week could not get out of bed.
today she increased my Levo to 125. here are my labs:

T3 Total  83.4   on the low end
T4            7.1
Tsh,3rd generation     8.615 High
Free T4      0.95     on the low end.

so I guess my High TSH is what is making me so tired.
I will increase the dose today and if 125 will be the right amount

do you think this well help my tiredness???
is this enough LEVO to help

Terri,

what was your previous dose?

Anyway, your doctor should give you a request to retest in about 6 weeks.  If necessary your meds can be readjusted then.  Mostly thyroid meds are adjusted in increments of about 25 mcg and usually that's done about every 6 weeks until the patient feels good and blood levels are appropriate.

As a general reference we'd like to see your Ft3 and FT4 both at least middle of the range.

TSH generally should be 1 - 2, but TSH is less important that where the FT3/FT4 are and how you feel.

Hi,

We can't know if the increase to 125 is enough, but it's a move in the right direction.

You are hypo and do need an increase in meds.
