waiting to ovulate

I would like your thoughts on this. I've been using my OPK's for 10 days now, started on day 13, all have been negative. I've used OPK's for two months, this being my third month, and I have an average of my ovulation day being day 17. It's now day 23. When I used them my two prior months I got positives for 3 days in a row. I've also had this crazy spotting. Everytime I go to the bathroom and wipe, I get this mucus that has a bunch of brownish pink blood. I'd normally say this would be normal if it was a couple days before my period, but I'm not due for it for at least another week and the spotting has been going on the last three days. I did take a preg test today and it was negative. Do you think it could be ovulation spotting but then it should show up as a positive for my OPK. Very confused. I didn't want to continue testing because I think it's to late but I guess I will just have to or else I will always wonder when I've ovulated. I've also just started tracking my temps. It's very hard to remember sometimes as I'm not used to it being part of my routine. Even though it's right next to my bed I still have forgoten lol. Any comments would be appreciated.

Well in September I had 2 days of spotting around day 15 and 16. I hadnt started using OPKs at that point in time. I figured I was probably ovulating then. That was the first time that it ever happened to me. Then November I had a couple of days right before I was expecting AF. Now December, it seems all I did last week over xmas was spot lol. I'm done taking the OPK's for now. I've given up until next time. I just think its to late. I think if I did ovulate maybe I ovulated before day 13, or maybe my urine was to diluted when I tested? This month I started testing in the morning or afternoon vs using my first morning urine, maybe that has something to do with it. I don't think I'd have a chance of being preggers because my temp is so low. So I guess i'll try again next month. My friend jokes with me that I'll probably get pregnant in March because thats when I conceived my first child, they'll end up having the same bdays or something lol.

Berrykkiss has the right idea. I was going to start testing on day 10 but I started getting EWCM so I thought I'd go ahead and test. I got a positive and its only 9dpo for me. Maybe you missed it. By 13dpo I'd probably get a neg., you might've too.

Have you had spotting during ovulation before? If not this could be AF and you might have ovulated before 13th itself. Start testing from day 12 to be safe. Let us know what happened

I would say use another OPK test and see....I'm betting your spotting is from ovulation then. Pretty late...but it's nice to know you're probably ovulating!

Taking you temp with the OPK is the best way to know when you exactly ovulated. The temp will pinpoint the exact day and OPK cant do that. It just gives you a
12-36hr window. I wish you tons of luck and hope you get an BFP soon!!!
