TTC and excercising

I have been working out fairly vigorously and have lost 21 pounds since June.  I went off the pill in May and my periods were regular until now.  I am currently on day 47 and have taken several hpt with negative results.  Could the excercise be causing me to skip my period and be interfering with my ability to conceive?

I have stopped running and am opting for the elliptical for cardio now, so maybe that will help.  I am also a teacher, and my relaxing schedule is now quite hectic, so that may also be an issue.  
I have been charting my temperature since May, but it is all over the place!  I can't seem to find a pattern.  
How did you change your diet?

I had the same problem a few cycles ago.  I had started working out regularly and then I probably had an anovaluatory cycle.  I cut back on the intensity of my work outs and changed my diet for progress on my weight loss goals.

That is a big weight loss in a short amount of time and is probably the number 1 reason why your cycle is messed up. As for your ability to conceive, it may be hindering that too but once you start to plateau on your new weight and figure your cycles out, you'll probably have a good chance at TTC. Especially if you were overweight before- weight loss def helps.
