9 yrs. old son has excessive sweating at all times.

Hi.  my 9 yrs. old son has been sweating at every little activity as long as i can remember.  he's 4 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 105 pounds.  he's not a very active boy at all times and likes to play his video and computer games every chance he gets.  for instance today at the mall i noticed he was walking and was perspiring on his head even though the mall was cool.  i will be calling his dr. tomorrow, but i was wondering can anyone tell me what might be some of the causes that kids can over perspire.  he does not seem to have the signs of diabetic because he drinks water moderatly and does not urinate in excess and has not lost weight. (thank god)   so hopefully its not anything serious.  i thank you in advance.

Sometimes exessive sweating in a youngster is due to a wheat allergy.

He may have a condition called Hyperhidrosis. People who have this condition over-sweat and it is completely treatable. I'm not really medically inclined - so I couldnt go over the specifics with you. It would be best for you to do an internet search of "Hyperhidrosis". What I can say is a good friend of mine used to sweat at all times, we always thought he just had a very warm body temperature - for example one day in the winter we had just gotten into a cold car and he was driving. To our surprise he was sweating so much it was dripping down his arm. He finally consulted a doctor about this and was sent to a specialist who prescribed him some pills (I believe) and he says its completely changed his life.
