Sharp pain in arm when lifting after blood donation should I be worried?

I gave blood 3 days ago and when she inserted the needle it was the worst pain I have ever had during a donation and I have given blood 8+ times. The lady who was taking my blood after inserting the needle called another worker over to do "a needle adjustment" which lessened the pain and then finished the donation. After I was done she told me to not lift anything for the rest of the day. I didn't remember being told this before but thought nothing of it and followed the instructions. HOWEVER I noticed that frequently when I extended my arm I would get a quick sharp cold feeling pain in my arm (near or just past the elbow where the needle was inserted) and then the next day when I started lifting again I would get the same pain almost every time I lift something.
My question is am I worrying too much too soon about this?
