Anion Gapt Test results
recently had blood work done and had an Anion Gap result of 16, h;igher than the range for adults.
What could this mean?  Should I be concerned?

Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The average anion gap for healthy adults is 8-12 mEq/L. A slightly higher gap is seen in acidosis—lactic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis, alcohol abuse, use of iron supplements and aspirin. Discuss this with your doctor.
