Small, flat and painless circular(not well defined) spot on side of nose

I noticed an area on the side of my nose about two weeks ago. It was very small, almost unnoticeable at first but has since become bigger. It is completely flat, it doesn't hurt or itch at all. I have gone to my PCM and have been referred to dermatology but I was hoping to get some feedback since I can't get an appointment until after the first of the year. I do have a history of breast cancer (diagnosed at age 22) but no family history of skin cancer.
