Sir,
Thanks a lot for your valuable advice. BP medication has since been changed from today & she has been put on SARTEL-H 40 mg OD. It contains Telmisartan 40 mg & hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. She is feeling better.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If all heart, lung and other causes like anemia are rule out, then your wife should consult her gynecologist. FSH, LH, estrogen, progesterone and thyroid status should be checked as hormonal disorder could also be a cause of breathlessness. It can also be due to gastric reflux, panic attack, and due to high blood pressure itself. It can also be side effect of BP medicines. Hence consult her cardiologist once even if the EKG and ECHO are normal.
Hope this helps. Take care!

How long has she been on the bp medications?  In my opinion, this is a side effect of one of her bp medications.  If I were to guess which it would be the Losacar.   The Losacar in the angiotensin antagonists category of bp medications and they often cause this side effect.
