Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You need to consult a vascular specialist to rule out deep vein thrombosis and lymphangitis or inflammation of lymphatics or phlebitis or inflammation of veins. A color dopplar or duplex ultrasound or an angiogram may be required.
The other possibility is a pinched nerve in lower back. This can be diagnosed by an electrical conductivity test and MRI of lower spine.
But since there is a history of infection, consult a vascular specialist first.
Take care!
