Try to see a neurologist. Although there can be many causes for falls, your age and symptoms could indicate a syringa (blockage) in the spinal column caused by a small cyst or ependymoma. Best to check it out!
It can be. You might want to get checked for MS because that might be a very early sign when you start to lose balance and fall down.
Take it from me. I have the disease and although it is in my legs i need to use a cane for support. You might want to give that a try because you don't want to run the risk of hurting yourself or possible breaking a bone in your body. Take care!!
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
There are many causes of unexplained fall. One is that the proprioceptive receptors of foot are at fault and they are not able to take in the variation in the floor. The other possibility is an internal ear problem. It an also be due to pinched cervical spinal nerve. Brain injuries, tumors, transient ischemic attacks and bleed in the brain have to be ruled out in your case. It can also be a vasovagal attack.Hypoglycemia, severe anemia and vasovagal attacks are common causes of such falls.
At your age it can even be hormonal imbalance.
Since I cannot examine you and know other related conditions you may be having, nor is a detailed history possible on net, I have listed the various possibilities that should be looked into. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral.
Take care!
