HELP WITH SWELLING!!!!

Can somebody please help in advising on swelling.

The swelling has been permanently there for 5 months, the swelling is directly between the eyes and goes up to both sides of the frontal forehead boss.
It is very spongy and causes alot of pressure between the eyes (the worst of the swelling is located between the eyes as per picture).....when this happened a small red line appeared on my forehead then swelling started, the swelling subsided a little bit with the use of steroid cream but then stopped.
around the swelling I can see a faint shadow and all around this area it is very sensitive.
It is not red to look at just very proud, if I press there is no pain but if I try to pinch the whole area stings and goes red.
I have had rosacea and dermatitis both ruled out but nobody wants to take the examination further.

Could this be trapped fluid (edema) if I press it comes up with a red mark which last a couple of minutes or does anybody have any other ideas because I am all out.

Thanks
Rob

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
In all probability this swelling is a cyst or lipoma or neurofibroma (collection of nerve and fiber). It can also be a lymph node. A CT scan would be diagnostic. Hope this helps. Take care!
