Heat Strokes

Age: 35 F:  the last two summers I've fainted 3 times and appeared to have seizures, went to ER then was fine but very disoriented for awhile, many, many tests and showed nothing abnormal so I thought great, I just have to stay inside when it's hot. ( i wasn't exerting myself outside either, light gardening each of the 3 times I fell on my face)  We just purchased a sauna and after a week of using it I see that I'm not sweating like my husband.. for that matter I'm not sweating AT ALL! He went in for 20 min, 135 deg, came out sopping wet, I went in 20 min and was totally dry!   So today working out on the cross trainer I was on it for 40 minutes and sure enough, no sweat.  I've never thought about it before but guess I don't sweat and after reading on the internet about heat strokes and how sweat regulates your body temperature, I'm very concerned.  I drink plenty of water each day, take vitamins and try to eat healthy.  What can you suggest?  Note I had a heat stroke of some degree when I was like 12.

Sweat is meant to cool our bodies. If you don't sweat, then your body can't cool. This can be a very serious medical condition. You should immediately make an appointment with your Dr. for evaluation. In addition to drinking lots of cold water, you can get a cooling vest to keep you from overheating when you are out in the sun. Until you see the Dr. stay out of the sauna! You could do yourself serious harm. It is the same as getting a high fever if you get too hot, and it can hurt your heart, and brain. Once you get a definitive diagnosis, your health insurance will likely pay for things like the cooling vest. Be careful, and good luck.
