Hi
Thanks for keeping me posted!
Segmented neutrophils and abnormal blood cells can be seen by doing a peripheral smear. You should consult an endocrine specialist regarding your adrenals. Maybe the high white blood cell count is related to your adrenal problem.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Thank you for your time,
It means a lot to me.  If you notice, the December absolute neutrophils were also above 8000 at 8500.

Is there a different test that should be done to look for abnormal or segmented neutrophils?

I should also mention that I had a Plasma Renin test done which came back as high at 5.2.  They are looking into Adrenal Insufficiancy on me as I have been extra fatigued and easily stressed with sharp pain in the area of my adrenals during high stress.

What direction do you recommend I go in next? And with which Dr.?

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
Only in the March 2009 results are the neutrophils above the 8000 level, which is considered as very high. A high count can be due to abnormal level of stress in your body. It is possible with Hashimotos and pituitary tumor. You can discuss this with your endocrinologist. Bacterial infections and kidney problems too increase the neutrophil count. High count is also seen in some blood disorders but those will also result in abnormal and segmented neutrophils.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
