For the last two days I have felt the exact same pains as one might associate with the "oncoming of gas or diarrhea." The best I could describe it is a somewhat dull "on and off" painful sensation. Usually this pain will occur in a "rolling sensation" until one passes gas, or sometimes worse, needs to make a trip to the bathroom to have diarrhea.
I'm 26 years old (male) and in my entire life, every time I've had these pains I've known I'm either A.) going to have to go to the bathroom soon, B.) am going to have some very bad gas, or C.) a combination of the two. Also, I've only ever had that pain for up to an hour and then it would be gone (usually gone after situation A).
Wednesday night I started feeling these pains just like this, but no gas or diarrhea came. I went to sleep and slept well enough through the night. Thursday morning I awoke to find I still had the pain. I took some seltzer fizz tablets to try to help alleviate the pain. By thursday evening the pain was till there, so I chewed some pepto tablets. The pain never subsided. Also, though I occasionally would pass gas, it was never a large amount/enough frequency, nor was it really "foul" like most gas is. Also, I made a bowel movement with no issues, and it was fairly solid and normal in color. This morning I awoke and still had the subtle pains, so I decided to take some Milk of Magnesia. The only thing this did was completely clean me out after a few hours, and most was normal colored until the end, some blackness from the pepto (I assume) was in the stool. So.. I don't think my stomach is bleeding, though I'm no expert.
I have no other symptoms. It's just frustrating to have this very minor, subtle pain for so long without any idea what could be causing it. I always though "gas was gas," but this doesn't seem to be the case. Is this "symptom" sometimes linked to other things? The paranoiac in me wishes to ask if it's possible I am having appendix or gull bladder issues. Mainly because we have too many medical bills for me to desire another hospital trip (we just had a baby).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
