Im a 17 year old male with (what doctors and I are pretty sure of) IBS, I’m also diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Around 2 months ago I started having a bit of a fever and started having a weird feeling like I wasn’t fully conscious, it was a pretty mild feeling and I knew I was awake. I also started feeling pretty depressed and really unmotivated to do anything, even go to the toilet and have a shower. My stomach was quite sore but I don’t know if that was because of my IBS or whatever this was, I also had a very low appetite. I felt like I had no energy but I was able to get up and do things. I also had a feeling like the feeling would never end and I’d feel like this forever. I went to a GP a few days later and the doctor said I had Benign Positional Paroxysmal Vertigo, I thought it made sense other than the dizziness which I didn’t really feel. Basically the day I went to the doctors I started to feel better, unrelated to what happened at the doctors. I still did the exercises that the doctor told me to do but I couldn’t really tell if they helped since I was already basically back to normal. After that I was good with no more issues of that kind, until yesterday (5th Jan 2023), I had that fever again but it only lasted about an hour, my stomach has been sore again but I still don’t know if it’s related, I’ve had a low appetite again (which isn’t always common when I have a sore stomach from IBS). I’ve had that same very low energy, depressed and not fully conscious feeling since yesterday as well. It’s basically the same feeling. I also feel really down about it again, like this feeling will never get better. I don’t know if it is BPPV, I sort of doubt it and I’m not sure it it can even come back this fast. I’m often quite anxious about medical issues I have and I don’t really know what I’m experiencing with all of these symptoms.
