Medical scientists say magnesium is involved in 200 reactions in the human body, yet most of us do not consider magnesium to be important. I am a Vet, and my blood and urine are tested twice a year at a VA lab. I have also had blood tests at private labs. I was surprised after reading my past lab results from both labs did not test for magnesium. I have been taken one magnesium supplement, 500-mg, a day with meals five days a week for years. I think Milk of Magnesia tablets/capsules are inexpensive if you choose to try them. The laboratory amounts for magnesium is 1.6 to 2.6 mg/dL(milligrams/deciLiter)in blood serum. The strength of the magnesium capsules I take contain 125%. I would guess 100% would probably be about 350- to 400-mg if you need to know how strong the magnesium supplement should be.

Thanks for the response mcdee708 and red_star. Several doctors told me about tinnitus and treated me for it with no improvement. I was also tested/treated for congestive heart failure, thyroid, sinus, fibromyalgia, and 10 other conditions that doctors thought I had. I will look into the magnesium documents and see how that goes.
Magnesium deficiency symptoms include heart palpitations, back aches, neck pain, muscle pain, constipation, ear ringing or other ear noises, and vertigo (dizziness). Worth trying chelated magnesium supplements for a while to see if your symptoms improve.
I am very sorry to read of your pain...how do you get out of bed each day?
If you have been to 30 doctors, you have probably heard this information mentioned many times. Have doctors you visited informed you of a hearing condition named tinnitus. Tinnitus is mostly caused by listening to loud music over earphones for an extended time, but of course there are other causes. Ear, Nose, Throat specialists now say that the regular hissing sounds most persons with tinnitus hear has increased to 6-8 new sounds. There is an agency for tinnitus suffers, but I do not know the full name. Go to Google and type tinnitus and information is available for you to research.
I am sensitive to persons who have hearing problems. I carried a tumor in my right inner ear for 20 years without knowing it. I went through many different symptoms without results. The invention of MRIs showed the tumor, and was excised, but I lost hearing in my right ear.
I hope you find some answers to what is causing you pain.
