In need of reassurance

Had a sexual encounter with a girl a week ago in which we did not have vaginal intercourse, anal intercourse, or any oral sex between us.  Basically, I just fingered her and licked her nipples.  I masturbated myself and possibly could have gotten some vaginal secretion on my penis but not in the urethra.  She followed up by giving me a handjob and that was the end of it.

the next day I felt some fatigue and have felt it since for about five days.  No fever present however.  Based on the above scenario, I know it is not possible to contract HIV or very unlikely to contract an STD.

My question is that if I had contracted something from this encounter such as an STD or mono, would the fatigue symptom have shown up as quick as the next day or two.  Doesn't it take some time to develop in the body if there is something present.

I'm married and have been through a tremendous amount of anxiety over this.  I believe it may be some other type of infection and am going to the doc, but just would like some reassurance.  Thanks for any input

You cannot get STDs from physical contact that you described. Plus, symptoms of most STDs take much longer to show up. It is possible that it is mono, in which case, I don't think you have anything to worry about because rarely is it fatal. It is a self-limited illness which will go away by itself.

In any event, you are going to the doctor and he/she will be able to give you a more accurate diagnosis as I am not a doctor.

It sounds like your fatigue could be stress related. I'm not a physician or anything, but if your fatigue continues... you may want to consider seeing your physician.

I believe the fatigue could be.  She was not my wife.  Never did anything like it before and will not again.

I've just felt kind of like I'm fighting an infection, kind of tired and washed out.  Did not know if Mono could develop that quickly to show signs that soon?

Could be some other unrealted infection I guess.

Do you think that your symptoms could be due to anxiety... due to guilt over cheating on your wife ? (I'm assuming this girl wasn't your wife)
