Left Upper Abdominal pain

Lately, my mother who is age around fifty years old is suffering from left upper abdominal pain. She have tried for the gastric medicine but she still feels pain. It is like muscular cramp around the left upper abdominal. She is also a diabetic person now. One month before, she went for a medical blood test which showed that her ESR and platelet level was higher than normal range. White blood cell was also in the higher range. She had also high in triglyceride and cholestrol level. May I know what is the causes that lead to this problem and what is the related disease that link to this? And what is the treatment available to tackle this problem?

currently, my mom had juz went for a medical check up, her ESR, Platelet count, microALB: Creat ratio, hs-C Reactive Protein, alkaline phoshatase, GGT is very high. Over exceed the normal range. Under urinalysis, her urine colour is hazy, Protein is 2+, WBC is in 20-50, Mucus is 2+, amorphous urates is 2+, and calcium oxalate crystals are 2+ too. She is also a diabetes. In the report, it has been confirmed that H.Pylori IGG is negative. May I know what kind of diseases can be related from the report given?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Pain in the upper left abdomen and chest area can be due to stomach issues (GERD or hiatal hernia), spleen issues, due to an abscess below the left diaphragm, a hematoma (localized collection of blood), an abscess, or a muscle pull. Since her ESR and TLC is high, chance of infection is there.
An ultrasound or CT scan of abdomen is definitely required. Aortic aneurysm too can present this way. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please get a doctor to examine her. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
