Hello,

Nausea which is present daily is not a characteristic feature of Lyme’s disease.Other possibilities have to be probed. Are you taking any antibiotics or pain killers like (NSAID’s)?They are common causes of nausea in a patient of Lyme’s disease.

Other causes of persistent nausea are disorders of the upper gastrointestinal tract (stomach, small bowel, gallbladder, liver, & pancreas), metabolic problems (e.g.. diabetes, thyroid, and kidney), neurological(migraine, labrynthine disorders) and psychogenic.

Without examination,it is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis. So I sincerely advise you to consult a physician and discuss these possibilities with him.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted on how you are doing or  if you have any additional queries.

I have had Lyme for at least 4 years now (confirmed, but they dont know when i contracted it), they didn't treat me until 2 years into it, during the treatment i was nauses when i took the medication, but i have been off it for a year now, and i am constantly getting stomach bug like symptoms, especially Nausea. It comes on almost without warning, and then goes away sometimes without me actually throwing up.

I get the normal joint pain still and some of the other common symptoms, but i have heard from other that know people with Lyme and some people that have it themselves and most say that they have Nausea as well.

So i always assumed that it was connected, and some nurses have told me that it is Lyme....
