3 mths ago, I started felt dizzy, had problems getting to sleep, had a few mild night sweats & felt lethargic. My Dr did a CBC which was normal & sent me for cat scans of my head which came back normal. 3 weeks ago, I noticed what appeared to be a single hive on my shoulder before I went to bed. It was gone the next morning but I woke up with an intense itch all over. No rash or redness. The itch lasted 7 days before I went to the doctor... after the obvious questions of allergies, etc he gave me a cortisone shot & itch pills, which I didnt take because the itch was gone shortly after the shot. The itch came back 5 days later and lasted three days. Then I started feeling fatigued to the point I would doze off at my desk at work.I went back to the dr and told him my concerns about lymphoma. He did CBC and a test for mono while I waited. CBC showed an elev WBC. Mono test was negative. Not sure what kind of mono test, but it was while I waited.Days later the rest of the bloodwork came back and it was positve for EBV antibodies. They said the test showed something about a second occurence. I responded that I never knew I had a first occurence. I have not had a sore throat, fevers that I know of or swollen glands or ab pain. So I was surprised at the mono diagnosis especially with the negative mono test in the drs office.A week later, I am itching again, have what appears to be a couple other hives. I now noticed a slight swelling just under my jaw on the left side. This morning, I did heavy lifting and my palms & fingers got itchy, turned bright red and splotchy. I havent seen any info that says mono causes itching unless it is accompanied by a rash & antibiotics. The itching, fatigue, dizziness, the swelling and night sweats still have me concerned about hodgkins or some type of blood cancer. Now my feet feel like they are burning. Im looking for maybe a second opinion & not sure where to turn or what kind of dr to see. Do you have any advice or suspicions
