Muscle cramps (SEVERE Charlie Horses)

I have SEVERE muscle cramps in my inner thigh either or, calves, toes and inner bottom of my foot ... and usually on my right side of my abdomin. As with others i i scream cry and beg for the pain to stop while i try to stretch it out , when they are done I  feel severly bruised and sore for days. I have been diagnosed with HB, RA, OA, scoliosis, neuropathy, degenerated bonde disease, I have drank mustard, pickle juice, hot baths, poultices, calcuim, potassium, lots of fluids, etc... They used to hit me at night now they get me anytime. And its almost a weekly to daily events,I have tried cortisone shots, all kinds of over the counter, prescription, homoepathic "cure-alls" I am 47 I have been a traffic controller (flagger) for 10 years, I am 5'8" about 260 alot of muscle as I am always moving, When I am not flagging I am driving truck. I have 4 children and I am very very active. I am tired of hurting to the point I have now been diagnosed with depression. So if anyone has any idea or suggestion  or even a lil insight to help me it would be so appreciated. I am a hard worker and it is very hard for me not to be able to do all the things i am used to.

I had a severe charlie horse from magnesium deficiency. Worth supplementing if you haven't already. I found this on best magnesium citrate article called How to Fix Heart Palpitations or Irregular Heart Beat:

"It has been found that 4 out of 5 people in the US (or 80%) are deficient in magnesium. If you are experiencing 2 or 3 of the following symptoms, you probably are one of them.

- heart palpitations, heart arrythmias
- chest tightness
- urinary spasms
- constipation
- menstrual cramps, premenstrual irritability
- difficulty swallowing, a feeling of a lump in the throat
- insomnia
- light sensitivity, loud noise sensitivity
- high blood pressure
- numbness, tingling, zips, zaps and other vibratory sensations
- being uptight or prone to temper
- muscle twitches, soreness, cramps, spasms, tension, tightness
- back aches, neck pain
- headaches, migraines
- jaw joint problems
- needing to sigh a lot, unable to take a deep breath
- hiccups
- leg spasms, charlie horses, restless leg syndrome
- anxiety, panic attacks
- hyperactivity
- angina

Take some time to yourself. Relax and slow down rest for a while. As we get older our bodies act different and they get inflamed when over worked i get them too. Its because i dont slow down and rest im always pushing my self to do more and more. you need rest and lots of it when your body is to the point that it happens multiple times a week your overwoking your self way to much

Okay, don't holler that you tried this already, maybe you have but my grandma swears that one banana a day which I guess is the potassium you spoke of will cure charlie horses/muscle cramps. You have to stay at it, not just 3 banana's didn't work, do it everyday for a month and then see if your cramps have slowed to eventually none at all. As with alot of medicines you have to let it get into your system and keep it there. Try it, and hopefully you will be back to your old self in no time. Just remember to keep eating that yucky banana every day. ONE A DAY. Good luck, and I feel for you.
