bad canker sore, sore lymph node, now groin pain?

28 male. Healthy.

The past couple months have been quite stressful, and I have a really really bad canker sore. It runs in the family.
They usually cause a sore lymph node. But this node got sore a day before the canker even emerged. My Dr. said it was probably trying to fight the infection before it even became a canker sore.

The day after seeing my Dr. about it, he said I was fine and let the sore run its course etc.

Then a day or 2 after seeing him, my right testical felt like someone was flicking it causing a shooting pain up my abdomen. this would happen once every 30 minutes? off and on all day. Then it left when I went to bed.

The next day it was pretty much gone, except my right testi felt a little sensitive so I was careful how I walked etc.

It still feels slightly sensitive and crampy in my stomach region... however, no more shooting pains etc.

I'm ticked b/c I JUST saw the Dr. a day or 2 before this happened, and he said everything was fine... and I don't really want to rush back in yet and pay another $40.

My dad thinks I should just wait til my canker sore/lymph node goes away in a few days or so, and see if that groin discomfort leaves then too. He said it might be due to the infection my body is fighting off.

You think it's connected or not? I feel no lumps on my testis and there is no swelling. I'm wondering if one of my veins got twisted or something?

Also, I wonder, since I suffer from anxiety if I've been thinking WAY too much about it...

Peace!

Dr. called me, said he doesn't seem to concerned. He said sometimes it just happens. And said to give it a few more days or so... whatever I feel comfortable with.

He said the canker sore/sore lymph node have nothing to do with this.

He said it could be its own separate infection IF it even is an infection. He doesn't seem to really think so.

He said if it gets worse, or if my anxiety about it gets high, come see him wednesday.

He said don't be scared about testicular cancer b/c he said it is NOT typically painful. :)

Thanks for writing.

Thanks! Yeah, just called. Didnt let the nurse know what was going on since she was a lady. I told her to leave him a message explaining it was a "guy thing" and to call me back. lol.

He should be calling in the next hour or so. =)

I'm sure I'm fine. But it's always good to know. I don't want my wife mad at me if I kill off my sperm or something. lol.

I think you should definitely see your doctor. At the very least, call and ask for a nurse and explain what's going on. It could be related but I'm not a doctor.
