Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Numbness of big toe can be due to pinched nerve, poor circulation, faulty foot wear, diabetic neuropathy, leprosy, nerve injury, multiple sclerosis and frost bite. This needs to be investigated before a final cause can be pin pointed.
If you walk a lot, then first check your foot wear and see. This could be at fault, and just changing that may help.
Otherwise, please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral.
Take care!
Could also mean you may have uncontrolled blood sugar - check with your doctor for sure
It sounds as if you have a pinched nerve in or around your toe. It may help to get wider shoes or insoles to give some cushion. Only a doctor can give you a diagnosis though. Best wishes.
