One common cause is sensitivity to milk, so try stopping dairy for 3 weeks and see if it goes away while you are off dairy.

Sounds like you may have what doctors call tinnitus. Tinnitus is commonly described as a ringing in the ears, but it also can sound like roaring, clicking, hissing, or buzzing. It may be soft or loud, high pitched or low pitched. You might hear it in either one or both ears. My dad has also suffered with this annoying sound for many years. It is not a disease. It is a symptom that something is wrong in the auditory system, which includes the ear, the auditory nerve that connects the inner ear to the brain, and the parts of the brain that process sound. I would go to your primary care doctor and have him/her look over your medical records and see if they can find a cause of the tinnitus. Sometimes certain medications can cause this ringing sound that you are experiencing. Anyway if your primary doctor is unable to find a cause for it, you should have him/her give you a referal to a ENT to get further evaluated. I wish you luck and I hope this helps you a bit.
