PLEASE TELL ME WHATS WRONG!

ok so where do i begin! in December i started having a foul foul smelling discharge, it was becoming more excess and just had a terrible pungeant smell. i thought it was from not showering as frequently and working out and sweeting, but then i started having really bad abdominal cramping. It became unbearable and had to go to the ER. I went they said  i had PID and prob chlymidia and gave me medicine for my chlymidia and sent me home. i took all the medication , i took it for 10 days. about 1 week after finishing the medication i got the pains again in my abdomen. went to the ER the doc did a pelvic exam and said "your boyfriend wasnt treated so he prob gave it back to you" so he said hes not even gonna bother testing me again because hes sure thats what it was. gave him medication to take home, and gave me a "super" dose at the ER so i didnt have to worry about taking medication again for 10 days. I followed all his guidelines didnt have intercourse, eveything he said i followed. so after 2 weeks i still had the foul smelling discharge and the chronic pelvic pain. I have been in the er numerous times over the years for ovarian cysts that rupture or cause me discomfort as well. so i just figured the discharge would go away. it STILL hasnt. it smells absolutely disgusting, i have chronic pelvic pain, and i havent had my period since january. I dont have insurance so i have been putting it off, but what does this sound like to you? Its a yellowy/light greenish color, its EXCESSIVE, smells absolutley terrible, dont have my period, and have the chronic pain and my appetite hasnt been its norm. I havent had unprotected sex once with my boyfriend so he couldnt "have given it back to me" im very worried, and the hospital i have been to for this has let others problems go and people have turned out really sick, im just wondering whats up! im so scared im 23 and dont want to be dying and not even know, or even never be able to have children some day. im scared please help DOC!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
A STD panel should be done first to rule out any STD. There is also a possibility that you have bacterial vaginosis. A fishy odor that is felt most after sex or washing with soap goes in favor of bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis is usually caused by Gardnerella vaginalis bacteria. It is not clear how the infection comes. It's not thought to be a STD. Treatment is usually by antibiotics. Diagnosis is generally by a wet mount slide showing the presence of ‘clue cells’.  Generally it is treated by metronidazole given to both partners. You could try this.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Did they do a pregancy test when you went,  could it be possible that you could be pregant.  My sister was pregant in her tubes and had terrible pain, they had to do a DNC.  I think I would go back and insist on being tested again. If it is as foul as you are saying then something is going on and you don't want it to get worse.  Or they are giving you a antibiotic that the germ is resistant to.  If you can go to another hospital.  Some counties where I live you can go to the health department and they would do a pelvic and test for free or at least they used to.

Also could you have a yeast infection from taking the antibotic if you are itching down there and it sort of smells like baking yeast bread. Then go to the pharmacist and ask for something for a yeast infection.

Another question do you drink enough water, has any doctor said that your urine is concentrated, mine was yellow, and would get almost an amber color.   I was extremily dehydrated and had the awful discharge and smell and kept thinking that I was having a kidney infection and bladder infection.  I would go to the doctor for the kidney or bladder infection they would find bacteria when they checked my urine, they would always tell me that my urine looked dark,  I drink water only and take vitamins so I thought I drink when I am thirsty and it must be the vitamins and taking and making my urine dark.  The other day they did a colon exam and said I was constapated was my problem. well, I got to thinking about being told that I wasn't drinking enough and watched what I was drinking I might have been getting 30 ounces of water a day, as soon as I started drinking eight 8 ounce glasses of water a day I felt better and the smell and pain went away and wasn't constapated any longer.  an antibotic didn't ever help me I had been on about 7 of them.  So I would try pushing the water at least drink eight   8 ounce glasses a day and see if that helps you  if you decide not to go to the doctor.  I am not saying that you might be the same way but you could ask the doctor if you could be dehydrated when you go.  I am in no means a doctor but these are things I and my family have been through and maybe there will be something that you can go get checked

I still really think you should see a doctor it could be more serious and you only get one life.

sometimes Chlamydia is stubborn, but it sounds like a very nasty infection. my mother had one like that , and i don't mean to scare you, but she had to have a hysterectomy to get rid of it.
