Please help me!

Hello!  I went to my doctor yesterday for a check up as I have been feeling some things in my body lately.  First is my left arm, when I out it up I have that tingling feeling, and numbness at times, that goes through the whole hands.  And then there's me getting weak, I feel like I am bloated and I will have a hard time in the toilet.  Then I have this thing in my throat, as if I am loaded with phleghm and I will have a hard time burping and I feel as if my throat's being blocked.  And just two days ago, a small bump grew in my neck, just between my Adam's apple and chin- my doctor said it can just be lymph nodes but asked me to go back again next week  to have it checked again.

What could be wrong with me?

I am a very big worrier and so sometimes, I get so nervous and start to think I have this and that, and before I know it, I will be feeling more and more in my body.  I think it's called hypochondria.  I am mostly bothered by the tingling sensation in my left arm, and sometimes, a little on my left leg also- and then there's the throat problem of not being able to burp, and the feeling of food being stuck in there.  It's uncomfortable.

Be careful with Omepraazole as it is a tranquilliser and addictive. The problems can then be ten times worse.   I tend to take 1/2 an Omeprazole when stressed only and keep 20 for about 3-4 months.  That way I keep my tensions down and still can cope with a stressful life.  It sounds to me like you are having reactions to a food you eat.  Bloating is caused when the food sits and becomes putrid.  So be careful of being constipated and eat plenty of apples, dried fruit like apricots or the old favourite prunes and Brown bread etc.  You may have to go on an elimination diet to find the food that causes these symptoms.  Usually the culprits are:-
nuts, or milk and dairy, or wheat.  Rice and chicken and turkey usually are free of any reactions so eat plenty of these until you find out what is bothering you.

Hi there!  Thank you so much for your reply and for welcoming me to the site.  I don't really smoke, I drink from time to time, and I am trying not to eat spicy food right now.  The thing with my arm, it has been going on since around August of last year, while the throat thingy since 2003- although it's on and off.  It just is uncomfortable but not really painful.  Like I said, it makes me not being able to burp when I feel as if food is stuck in my throat.  And you are right also, I have problems with bowel movement sometimes, especially if I feel bloated, all these come and go.  Sometimes I will be all fine, and then these comes back again.  What do I have to do?  What food will I have to eat?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since you have this bump, get your thyroid levels tested. Other than this you appear to be having a bad case of gastric reflux along with probably some inflammatory bowel disease like IBS, Crohn’s, celiac etc.
Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by consulting a gastroenterologist.
Take care!
